# Wedding OS — 10-Minute Setup

**Product:** Full Wedding OS (Core V1) · File-only (Excel + Google Sheets) · No video course required

Use **Wedding-OS-Sample.xlsx** to explore a filled demo wedding, then open **Wedding-OS-Blank.xlsx** (or duplicate the sample and clear data) for your own wedding.

## Minute 0–2 — Open & Config

1. Open the `.xlsx` in **Excel** (desktop or Excel Online) **or** upload to **Google Sheets** (see README).
2. Go to **Config**.
3. Fill the yellow cells:
   - Partner A / Partner B names
   - Wedding Date
   - Venue / City
   - Guest Target
   - Display Currency (USD / AUD / GBP / EUR / CAD / NZD)
   - Total Budget Cap
4. FX Rate is informational only in V1 (amounts stay in your display currency).

Dashboard, DayOf header, and Calendar countdown read from Config automatically.

---

## Minute 2–4 — Budget + Vendors

1. **Vendors** — add each vendor once (name, category, quote, deposit $, deposit due, balance due date).
   - Mark **Deposit Paid?** = Yes when paid.
   - Balance $ auto-calcs as Quote − Deposit when quote is filled.
2. **Budget** — add line items by category.
   - Put the **exact Vendor Name** in the Vendor column to link lines to CRM.
   - Enter Budgeted + Paid; **Remaining** = Budgeted − Paid.
3. Check **Dashboard → BUDGET** for Cap / Budgeted / Paid / Remaining and the OVER/OK flag.

Deposit and balance due dates also appear on **Calendar** (Type = Vendor Deposit / Vendor Balance) and on the Dashboard upcoming list.

---

## Minute 4–7 — Guests, RSVP, Seating

1. **Guests** — enter Guest Name (First Last), household, side, RSVP, meal, allergies, plus-ones.
   - Capacity: **1,000** formatted rows (filterable).
2. **Keep-Apart** — list exact guest names (comma-separated) who must **not** sit together.
Names must match the Guest Name column exactly.
3. Assign **Table #** on each attending guest (column J).
4. **Seating** — set table names + capacity. Assigned count and open seats calculate from Guests.
5. Open **Conflicts** — any keep-apart pair sharing a table shows **CONFLICT** (red). Reassign Table # until green/OK.

Sample demo: *Jordan's Aunt Pat* and *Chris Lee* share Table 6 with each other listed in Keep-Apart → Conflicts = CONFLICT.

---

## Minute 7–9 — Tasks + Calendar + Day-of

1. **Tasks** — phase checklist; set Status to **Done** as you finish.
Dashboard **% Complete** updates from Tasks.
2. **Calendar** — milestones are pre-seeded (blank file uses wedding-date offsets; sample uses concrete dates).
Vendor dues are pulled in below the milestones. Sort/filter by Date or Type.
3. **DayOf** — edit the minute-by-minute run-of-show; print landscape for the wedding party.

---

## Minute 9–10 — Lean helpers (optional)

- **Vision** — vibe words, palette slots, inspo links
- **Packing** — day-of emergency kit + honeymoon list
- **Gifts** — gifts received + thank-you tracker
- **Honeymoon** — destination ideas + simple budget stub

---

## Done when…

- Config has your names + date
- Dashboard shows real numbers (not zeros / blanks)
- At least one vendor deposit appears on Dashboard / Calendar
- Guests have RSVPs and (if seating started) Conflicts is clean

**Guarantee (checkout terms):** 7-day file-opens guarantee — if Sheets/Excel won’t open or access fails, email for a refund.

Lifetime updates ship to your purchase email. No login SaaS; you own the file.

## Visual polish (V1.1)

- Soft wedding palette: dusty rose / blush, sage, cream, soft gold, charcoal ink (original — not a Forever clone).
- Coloured sheet tabs + cream title bands + styled header rows.
- Dashboard KPI cards + pie charts; Budget category bar chart.
- Vision colour swatches; RSVP / task / conflict / traffic-light conditional formatting.
- Charts live in Excel; after Google Sheets import, if a chart is missing, re-insert from the Dashboard “Metric/Amount” block or Budget category rollup (columns L–N).
